Credentialing Process Improvement (CPI) Analyst

Stephen serves as a Credentialing Quality and Process Improvement Analyst for the CPI team.  He is the credentialing liaison between the Medical Center and its departments for incoming providers and Advanced Practice Providers (NP, PA, CNM, CRNA, PharmD).  Along with overseeing Medical Center Departments, he is responsible for the Committee on Interdisciplinary Practice.

Cheryl Lew

Governance Officer

Cheryl serves as the Governance Officer for the Medical Center.  She is the administrator for the UCSF Medical Staff: the Peer Review Process  including Ad Hoc, Fair Hearing, and Intermediary Review Council Investigations, and the following  medical staff committees: Governance Advisory Council, Executive Medical Board, Committee on Professionalism, Medical Ethics Committee, Physician Well Being Committee, and Nominating Committee.  She also supports the President of the Medical Staff and Chancellor Hawgood in their medical staff roles.

Seng Raw Marip

Credentialing Analyst, Credentials Verification Office (CVO) Team

Seng serves as a credentialing analyst for the Credentialing Verification Organization Team (CVO).  She is responsible for the intake, processing and self-auditing of any new and/or re-appointment file on behalf of UCSF’s physicians, the Clinical Integrated Partner (CIP) physicians and other providers.

Sindy Mercado Murillo

Sindy Mercado, CPCS, MS-HCA
Credentialing Process Improvement (CPI) Analyst

Sindy serves as the CPI team's Credentialing Quality and Process Improvement Analyst.  She is the credentialing liaison between the Medical Center and its departments and assists in various Committees, including UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians (UBCP).  She ensures that qualified and licensed healthcare professionals meet the standards to provide quality care.

Stephaine Moi

Credentialing Analyst, Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) Team

Stephaine has 10+ years in Healthcare Administration and has earned her B.S. degree in Health Sciences, with a focus in Administration & Management. Her goal is to gain more knowledge and experience in Credentialing while upholding her mission to provide administrative support to healthcare professionals so that they can ensure quality care for their patients.

 

Fun fact: Stephaine is a proud Hawaiian-Azorean who loves chili & rice, to paint/graffiti, listen to live music and travel.

Nu Nu N-Dawng

Nu Nu N-Dawng, CPCS
Affiliate Credentials Specialist, Strategic Initiatives Unit (SIU)

Nu Nu is an analyst for the Strategic Initiatives Unit (SIU). Her primary duties are processing pre-applicants and monitoring/overseeing new and/or re-appointment files for the Clinical Integrated Partner (CIP) physicians and advanced health practitioner (AHP).

Laly Ott

Enrollment Analyst, Health Plan Enrollment (HPE) Team

Laly serves as an Enrollment Analyst for the Health Plan Enrollment Team.  She enrolls and revalidates new and existing providers into the Government Health Plans, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, CCS and Out of State Medicaid.  Her experience includes working closely and directly with Government payers to ensure proper enrollment and resolving billing issues.

Michael Petrick

Michael Petrick, CPCS
CPI Analyst

Michael works with the Departments of Pediatrics and Dentistry for their providers, reviewing provider privileges and monitoring proctoring to ensure medical record compliance.​ He also assists the UCSF Bylaws Committee, Dental Center Credentials Committee, and Physician Review Board peer review process.

Karen Ra

Karen Ra, CPCS
Program Manager, Credentials Verification Organization

Karen supervises the CVO team.  With her team being responsible for auditing, processing, and intake. Karen facilitates producing quality reviews that are in line with the caliber of healthcare that UCSF physicians provide.  Along with ensuring the CVO team is reflective of the UCSF Medical Staff Credentialing Program with applicable standards and also ensures that physicians are in compliance with the NCQA, TJC, and CMS.

Carmen is a member of the Credentialing Process Improvement Team as an analyst. She serves as a credentialing liaison for incoming providers between the Medical Center and its departments. She is responsible for processing pre-applicants, assessing provider privileges, and monitoring PPM’s to guarantee compliance, in addition to overseeing specialized departments.
